Reverse: (ink pen) "View of previous landing. The gap in trees is course taken by lava at this point. What used to be a small valley is now a ridge of lava. Traders store still stands in trees on right. Our church stood directly behind only few yards back. Trees seen are only few on fringe of coast & these are scorched."
