The home is made of dirt bricks and wood. There is a main chamber down the middle and a smaller room on each side - both with pitched roofs. Below the image along the frame are partial Chinese characters, written by Rev Don, and are the names of the men in the picture.

Caption from book: "The only known photograph of Joe Park, taken at his residence (Wor [Woh] Shun Tong, or 'Company of Peaceful Endeavour') in German Gully, Upper Nevis, in January 1901. From left: Cheung Hoi Seng, Cheung Kwai (standing), Chung Shay, Joe Park (translated by Don as 'Chau Cypress'), Tse Choong Gun, Cheung Qwai Loong, and G. H. McNeur (whose diary [15 May 1902] noted that Park had intermarried. [Kirkland Collection]."
