This was owned by Mr Lai Ka Hong from Waikaia and is a typical Chinese Gold Miner's hut. The image was taken by Rev Alexander Don on his tour of Central Otago Chinese Gold Miners in 1900-01. The title of the photo was written on the back of image P-A564.1-2.
