Caption from book: "Two old men, 'Noble Son' and 'Splendid Dignity', on their way back to China in 1903 after long residence in Otago. "Noble Son" (left) was 69, and had been a gardener here for 34 years. His companion, also 69, had been gold-mining in Otago for 31 years. Both were of the Yeung clan. [Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, Mission to Chinese, 1904]"
