（The poison of opium brings national ruin and racial extinction）
鴉片煙 切勿種
（Opium—do not cultivate it）
官勒捐 兵索餉
（Officials extort levies; soldiers demand rations）
重重剝 多苦痛
（Layer upon layer of exploitation, much suffering）
鴉片煙 切勿運
（Opium—do not transport it）
人吸煙 身家毀
（When people smoke it, their families are ruined）
你運毒 罪何重
（If you traffic poison, how grave is your guilt）
鴉片煙 切勿賣
（Opium—do not sell it）
既貪財 又害命
（Greedy for wealth, yet harming lives）
害國家 害世界
（Harming the nation, harming the world）
鴉片煙 切勿吸
（Opium—do not smoke it）
人和財 都喪失
（Both person and wealth are lost）
至窮途 悔莫及
（When destitution comes, regret is too late）
