"This is my father Rulon Turuwhenua. His grandfather was Te Uaua Turuwhenua and grandmother was Hinehou Turuwhenua.

"He said he was leaning against the fence at David Hogg Hostel waiting to walk to school at Whakatāne High School. He remembers that photo being taken very clearly."
